| Most of what was Roman Africa lies in the modern country of Tunisia, which boasts some of the finest Roman sites in the world today, presented here in all their glory, including: Bulla Regia, Dougga, Maktar, Sbeitla and Thuburbo Maius. The great El Jem amphitheater is featured, and there are also sections on Carthage and the fine mosaics of the Bardo and Sousse Museums.
