Aeneas
Aeneas has three main sections: the story of Aeneas' travels from Troy to Italy (told with animations and cartoons), background information on Virgil and the Aeneid, and a Latin version of the story (a synopsis adapted from Virgil's original). The Latin story consists of about 500 words, broken into 15 screens. A full range of information is given about each word under the headings of vocabulary, syntax, grammar, and translation. The program also keeps a log of how much help a student has used, and the teacher can place certain limits on the maximum amount of assistance allowed. The log can be loaded into any wordprocessor and printed out so that, for example, the student can work towards learning unknown vocabulary. (© 2004 J-PROGS)        Reviews
